1st annual K9 Cancer Walk in Coconut Creek was a huge success!       

Nearly 400 Florida dog lovers joined together on Sunday, December 5, 2010, for the 1st annual K9 Cancer Walk in Coconut Creek, FL., and they raised more than $38,000 for Morris Animal Foundation’s Canine Cancer Campaign. The campaign funds research to prevent, treat and, ultimately, cure cancer in dogs.

Teams were encouraged to show their team spirit by participating in the Top Dogs Contest.

Most Team Members: Team Animal Cancer Care Clinic with 27 members
Most Team Members Honorable Mention:
Everglades Golden Retriever Rescue and Club with 26 members
Top Fundraiser (individual): Mary Gardner with $1,237
Top Fundraiser Honorable Mention (individual): Michelle Swiglo with $1,121
Most Spirit: Miami Dade Vet Tech Club
